Guided Tours and Exhibitions 2023

Saturday, July 1st marks the beginning of the summer season. We are extending our opening hours and welcome you to visit the exhibitions.

Opening Hours July 1-August 20:

Monday: Closed
Tuesday-Saturday: 11:00-16:00
Sunday: 12:00-16:00

Exhibitions and guided tours

This summer, you can experience our permanent exhibition Focal Point Arkivet, the war sailor exhibitions War Sailors in a Global War, The War Sailor and Jon Michelet's Library, Geen Doorgang! and The Memorial Commission.

For English-speaking visitors, we have audio guides available. In the summer of 2023, we also offer guided tours in English of the permanent exhibition "Focal Point Arkivet: Occupation, Resistance, Captivity, and Collaboration in Agder 1940-1945". The exhibition is located in the basement, where the Gestapo had their headquarters and conducted brutal interrogations during World War II.

Entrance fee is payable in the reception on arrival.
