ARKIVET Peace and Human Rights Centre is located in a historic building that used to be a regional headquarter for the Gestapo during World War II. The centre receives thousands of tourists and other visitors every year. On this page you, will find information about what we can offer when you visit.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR VISIT

Our permanent exhibition, Brennpunkt Arkivet: Occupation, resistance, captivity and cooperation in Agder 1940-1945, is located in the basement. The exhibition is based on the history of the house as the headquarters of the Gestapo during World War II, and gives you the opportunity to experience the local war history in authentic surroundings.

In addition, we have several temporary exhibitions that convey different aspects of war history. More about the exhibitions: An overview of our exhibitions.

Parking is free.

We have a kiosk where you can buy coffee, drinks and snacks.

We have a museum shop with a selection of souvenirs and books for sale.
