The memorial site
ARKIVET is an important memorial to what happened here during the Second World War. During the period 1942-1945, the building was Gestapo headquarters. Every year, thousands of schoolchildren and guests visit to learn about the building’s and the region’s past.

Through permanent, temporary, and virtual exhibitions, ARKIVET Peace and Human Rights Centre conveys important parts of history and knowledge that contribute to reflection and understanding.
