The Outdoor Exhibition ‘The War Sailor’

The exhibition is located outside ARKIVET and conveys the history of the war sailors, in light of the feature film ‘The War Sailor,’ which was released in the autumn of 2022.

On September 15, 2022, the blockbuster film ‘Krigsseileren’ had its grand premiere in Kristiansand. The film was made to honor the more than 30,000 war sailors and their families. It tells the story of one family’s fate before, during, and after World War II. The outdoor exhibition is based on the film, and historians from the Norwegian Center for War Sailor History have contributed to the texts.
