  • Bjørn Tore Rosendahl

    Bjørn Tore Rosendahl

    Bjørn Tore Rosendahl holds a PhD in history from the University of Agder, with the article-based thesis “Seafarers or war sailors? The ambiguities of ensuring seafarers’ services in times of war in the case of the Norwegian merchant fleet during the Second World War”. He has been employed at ARKIVET since 2005, initially as Head of Education.

    In 2012, he assumed the position of researcher with a focus on the history of Norwegian merchant seafarers during the Second World War.

    In 2014, he launched Krigsseilerregisteret.no and established the Centre for the History of Seafarers at War, which he currently leads. He is also responsible for ARKIVET’s research and public dissemination related to the history of wartime captivity.

  • Simen Zernichow

    Simen Zernichow

    Simen Zernichow is a qualified teacher with advanced certification (lektor med opprykk), holding degrees from the University of Oslo and the University of Agder. His academic background includes a Master’s degree in History, a one-year English studies program, and a practical pedagogical education (PPU). He has been employed at ARKIVET since 2015.

    From March 2015 to July 2022, Simen had responsibility for the development of a national War Sailor Register. Since August 2022, he has worked 50% as a project manager for Fanger.no and as a historian (project-based) for the War Sailor Register.

  • Ole Jørgen Søndbø Abrahamsen

    Ole Jørgen Søndbø Abrahamsen

    Ole Jørgen S. Abrahamsen holds a Master’s degree (MA) in History and a teaching qualification (PPU) from NTNU in Trondheim. He is the editor of krigsseilerregisteret.no and has been employed at ARKIVET since 2022.

    Thea S. Eriksen

    Thea S. Eriksen is a trained historian with a Master’s degree from the University of Agder. She holds the position of historian and communicator of War Sailor history at the Norwegian Center for the History of Seafarers at War.

  • Karianne Hansen

    Karianne Hansen

    Karianne Hansen is a historian educated in England and Scotland, specializing in Holocaust history and World War II. She recently earned her PhD in history from the University of Leicester with a dissertation titled “The Nation in the Barrack: Norwegian Experiences and Identity in the Nazi Camps, 1942-1945.”

    She was hired as an advisor for Fanger.no at ARKIVET in 2024. There, she is responsible for designing a research project on Norwegian prisoner history, contributing to the academic work at Fanger.no, and developing national and international collaborations related to the platform.

Children: 50,- (4-17 years)
Students/honorary: 90,-
Family: 250,- (up to 2 adults + 3 children)
Groups (minimum 15 people): 90,- per person

The ticket prices are the same for entry to the exhibitions and the guided tours.
